There is something about the ocean that is special and unlike anything else. Is it because its endless, beautiful, always available, continuous, everlasting and immense? Whatever the reason may be, I know I can rely on the ocean to cheer me up when I am sad and need some comfort. The ocean has an affect on our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. It is a type of therapy that cannot be replaced. Many researches show that the ocean “helps to restore our physical, mental, and emotional well-being.” When I need some time to think, I drive to the beach and just stare at the ocean and its tranquility. I know I am not the only one that does this. People fly from across the country to have access to the beach. Try it. When you are need of some healing, sit in front of the ocean, and pray. Meditate for as long as you need, and feel the connection of the ocean. The aroma, sound, and breeze will make a difference in your meditation practices. I remember a specific time when I was in an argument with a family member and needed to get away for a little bit. I drove to Venice Beach and sat in front of the ocean for about 2 hours. I was meditating and enjoying the atmosphere.
The ocean has a force unlike anything else. It has the ability to move us physically and emotionally. Take a visit to your nearest beach to experience a unique meditation practice.
